Dogs and Human Love Hormone

Interaction between humans and dogs can lead to a mutual increase in oxytocin, often referred to as the “love hormone” or “cuddle chemical.”

Studies have shown that when humans play with or pet their dogs, both species experience a boost in oxytocin levels, which fosters bonding, reduces stress, and can even enhance feelings of love and attachment.

This biochemical response is one of the reasons dogs are considered man’s best friend, contributing to the deep emotional connections formed between dogs and their owners.
